Student Resources. The comfort to learn.

The AUCP staff offers assistance on issues unique to international students, such as health and safety, immigration policy and procedures, academic and financial concerns, foreign language proficiency, housing, and general adjustment to life in Aix-en-Provence.

HEALTH INSURANCE

The safety and well being of students participating in AUCP programs is of paramount importance. To best meet the health and safety needs of its students, the AUCP, in collaboration with ISICassur, offers comprehensive medical and personal liability insurance to all full-time students. House
HOUSING

Serving the local French population as well as undergraduates from America's finest universities, the AUCP offers extensive housing and orientation services.
For both the Summer Intensive Language program and the academic year, enrolled students make individual living arrangements or rely on the AUCP's housing service which offers limited placement either in carefully selected local host-families or in shared apartments with other international ISHA participants or local French students.

VISAS
  • For admission and continued enrollment, the AUCP requires that those students who are not European citizens or registered French Permanent Residents obtain and maintain an appropriate visa status for their stay in France.
  • Students must apply for a long-stay student visa (for over 6 months) with Campusfrance using their website: www.campusfrance.org. It is imperative to have this visa upon arrival in France in order to request a valid student resident permit (Carte de séjour étudiant) within two months after arrival.
  • Students who are on visas must maintain continuous, full-time enrollment and are subject to French immigration laws covering such areas as employment on and off campus, and extension of study or stay.
The Graduate Admissions Office will send additional, detailed information on visas to admitted students.

ESTIMATED STUDENT BUDGET

Costs cover the full ten-month period of study, excluding travel costs to the internship site and living expenses for that six-week period; both amounts will be detailed as part of the presentation of Internship destination options.

All costs are estimates and listed in euros. Students are more or less frugal according to their means. The expenses detailed below represent a student average. Know that AUCP students are welcome to lunch at the Restaurant Universitaire at the neighboring Ecole des Arts et Métiers, French grande école (three-course lunch 2.80€).
