![]() The ISHA Master's program welcomes applications from international students or adult professionals having completed a minimum of four years of prior university study. Applicants come from many backgrounds, some immediately after the completion of an undergraduate degree, others after years of work experience or specialized graduate training in medicine, engineering, management, or other domains. All desire to make a meaningful and lasting contribution and are eager to learn how.

INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC EQUIVALENCIES
For admission to the ISHA Master's Program, assessment of prior study is based on the characteristics of the candidate's national educational system, the type of institution attended, and the level of studies completed. The following guidelines indicate the minimum level of study of applicants from recognized academic institutions worldwide. In all cases, the three-year Bologna compliant bachelor's degree is not sufficient to meet admission requirements.

Applicants scan and attach to their on-line application form, official transcripts (academic records) from every postsecondary institution they have attended for at least one year as a full-time student sent directly to AUCP Graduate Admissions.

FRENCH PROFICIENCY
A good command of spoken and written French is required for admission. Competence equivalent to a B2/C1 level or higher, based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), is required of all applicants whose first language is not French.

International students enrolled in the ISHA Master's Program must be able to read French and English with ease, understand rapid idiomatic language as used in lectures and group discussions, and express thoughts quickly and clearly in spoken and written English and French. Admission is offered to students who are fully prepared linguistically, as confirmed by preliminary on-line evaluation (see above). Candidates whose language proficiency is in the B1 level range may have admission confirmed with parallel enrolment in language support courses (see below).
Summer Intensive Program The AUCP offers a four-week intensive language program in the summer for students who plan to begin graduate study in September. For the summer of 2010, this 90-hour intensive language course (English or French) is scheduled from Monday July 26th to Friday August 20th. Participants will be billed a supplementary tuition fee of 1500€. All ISHA participants will take the Test d'évaluation du français (TEF) and/or the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) on the Monday of orientation week. Students who do not demonstrate the requisite B2/C1 (CEFR) level of proficiency will be required to enroll in the one -semester on-going language training course. One Semester On-going Training Course Students whose language proficiency is slightly under the pre-requisite level will be required to take this one semester on-going training course. For a supplementary tuition fee of 500€, this 40-hour program includes three hours of classes per week with unlimited access to the multi-media language lab.
